Workshop To Share Information on Doing Business with COM

(Texas City)—  In an effort to increase opportunities with local businesses, College of the Mainland is hosting a vendor workshop to provide information on how to do business with the community college.

The vendor workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the new COM Conference Center on campus.   “There have been some updates with the local policy as it relates to competitive bid requirements and we want local businesses to know that opportunities with the college exist,” said Sonja Blinka, director of purchasing for College of the Mainland.

During the session, business representatives will learn about:, State Purchasing Laws, Local Purchasing, Policies & Procedures,  State Cooperative & Interlocal Contract Purchasing Opportunities.

The workshop is free and open to the public.
